We will be launching a series of outdoor events that immerse the community in art and nature.

Time: 10.30am - 11am

Place: Tiered wellbeing garden, Barton Park Linear Path, Barton Fields Road Entrance.

Growing Together

Growing Together is a carefully designed

12-week programme designed to support the local community within Barton.

Helping people struggling with their mental health to reconnect with the community, themselves and others. All within our safe outdoor space at Barton Wellbeing Garden.

Places are free to join but limited and are awarded via a referral from your local social prescribing team, these can be arranged via your GP.

Bigger picture

We are here to breathe life into some of the incredible community facilities that are already or are soon due to be installed in and around Barton Park.

Our goal is to connect people across Barton, using art and nature as the catalyst. Central to our mission was to turn the feedback from the community into real, tangible, deliverables.

We didn't just want to take into account the feelings of the community - we wanted to bring them to life.

We aim to create a program and platform of outdoor art and growing activities that are powered by and for the community, providing real reasons for us all to meet, share and connect, outdoors and in nature.

Tommy Watkins

Growing up in the inner-city of Rochester, New York under the duress of poverty and violence, Tommy Watkins initially turned to art as a form of therapy. He achieved catharsis through painting, translating his emotions into bright colours and bold, abstract shapes.

Since moving to Oxford Tommy has been involved with a plethora of amazing projects that celebrate our everyday heroes and brighten up the city around us. Tommy is currently working on the Underhill Circus mural amongst other bright and fabulous things.

Come and meet Tommy at our next event.
